…& AS A TEACHER
I believe that dance is a formative and rich vehicle capable of unfurling the deepest parts of your beliefs and values to ultimately reveal your core identity. I strive to give my students the tools to further explore their own emotional development and individuality as artists and to do so in a disciplined, explorative, and safe environment. I want to awaken all of the senses by providing a rich vocabulary of movement, a bountiful variety of music and numerous opportunities to inspire critical thinking to encourage them as problem solvers, proactive decision-makers, vibrant visionaries, emotional communicators and confident artists. I value the internal dialogue that occurs within a dancer when they are challenged by a new sensation. Above all, I wish to instill in my students the idea that they are all seen and have a responsibility, as accountable artists, to individually contribute to the world around them by seeing others.
